“We are excited to be able to serve our customers in a new way that will allow them to move into new duty stations with the peace of mind that their property is being properly maintained by a company that prides itself on transparency and accountability. ‘equity”, Lukkarinen noted.
The owner of AVP points out that his property management company will do things differently than other more traditional companies. Those who have chosen to place their property under the management of AVP will pay an agreed monthly fee, which will cover all routine works, interview and maintenance, such as yard work, light bulb changes and air filter replacements. Additionally, AVP will not retain additional fees often charged to renters, such as pet fees.
“When tenants have to pay pet fees, for example, those pet fees will go straight into the landlord’s pocket – not AVP. We’re not going to charge our landlords for every last something we have to take care of at home. It is above all inclusive, with the exception of large projects or major appliance replacements,” Lukkarinen noted.
American Veteran Properties’ team of agents works with veterans and their families to help them build personal wealth through the acquisition and subsequent rental residential property. When a soldier who owns a house is assigned to a new duty station, he can rent the house and then buy a new house – covered by the basic allowance for housing – at the new place of employment. The process repeats until the veteran owns multiple homes this he or she can either sell for profit or use to continue generating rental income. Over time, houses pay for themselves many times over.
