Western University intends to spice things up in 2022 because it welcomes two new restaurants in the chic district. According to recent information, local restaurants Mexican restaurant Los Tios and Adair kitchen are considered the most recent additions to Place in the park, the mall at the corner of Buffalo Speedway and Westpark Drive.
Home to Houston’s first frozen margarita in 1975, Mexican restaurant Los Tios is well known for all the right reasons – its mouthwatering Tex-Mex plates, fajitas, and puffy quesos. There is no doubt that his arrival will elicit an ecstatic response from the locals. In addition, the new 7,573 square foot location will feature the work of a creative interior designer. Aaron Rambo, encapsulating the heritage of the Los Tios brand. The newest outpost marks the sixth location in Houston.
Adair Kitchen, which will join Los Tios, will serve dishes from scratch for breakfast, lunch and dinner. If you decide to grab a bite to eat, you’ll get a taste of recipes that have been in the Adair family for generations. This will be the second location in Houston, boasting 5,640 square feet of space and a full bar menu including signature cocktails, draft beers and a distinguished wine list.
National promoter of commercial real estate, EDENS, made the announcement last week, as well as the news of his partnership with Nick Adair, a resident of the University of the West and president of Adair Concepts, to complete the project. Adair believes the new restaurant additions will provide more neighborhood gathering places for families and those who love to eat. “The neighborhood means a lot to us and we are delighted to have partnered with EDENS to extend two of our concepts to Plaza in the Park,” Adair said in a statement.
Plaza in the Park has seen significant development in recent years, including refreshing current architecture and an outdoor seating area. For EDENS Managing Director Tom Kiler, mall expansion is less about money and more about community development through business. “The modernization of Plaza in the Park has given our team the opportunity to attract exciting new restaurants and business partners to the local community,” said Kiler.
